D-tub Shower
Showering
off before getting in a tub is the most sanitary way to use a hot tub.
Also, rinsing off after getting out of the tub is nice to wash
the chlorine out of your hair, not to mention that it, too, is a
pleasing part of the cleansing ritual.
The D-tub has a full-size hot shower
base, 48" x 30", a 100 gallon fresh water tank, and 60 gallon grey
water. Underneath the shower is the biodiesel-powered heater,
which should provide some radiant floor heating. There is
also a small sit-down changing area, as well as a dry location to place
clothes and towel hangers.
The hot
shower water will be is powered from a 12 gallon marine hot water
heater, with the heater glycol loop (heated by the biodiesel heater) running through the shower hot water heater.
There
will also be a three-way valve so that users can shower
with chlorinated tub water, just in case we run out of fresh
water, to insure that a sanitary tub is maintained as long as there is
water in the system.
